The EX-1451IS is a USB 2.0 high-speed isolation adapter that complies with Universal Serial Bus (USB) Revision 2.0 specifications, enabling it to operate at data transfer rates of up to 480Mbps. The EX-1451IS provides a USB 2.0 Type A connector with 15KV ESD surge protection for USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. With 2.5KV Optical Isolation, the downstream port works backward compatible with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 compatible devices. However, it is only designed for USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. The EX-1451IS also offers the unique ability to operate in powered bus mode without an external power supply which is convenient for USB devices with low power consumption. In addition, the external DC jack is used for self-powered mode when more power is needed at the downstream port.
